As seniors go off to college, there are many things they have to leave behind. Unfortunately, sometimes it is their own best friend.
Julissa Lawless is a senior at Delta. She has owned her cat, Brownie, for nine years now.
Brownie is a 9-year old cat.
She is going to miss the cuddles with Brownie when she leaves for college.
Senior Bailey Wood has a dog named Boomer.
Boomer is a 12-year-old Yorkshire Terrier. Wood has had him for 10 years.
“I will miss laying on the couch and playing with him,” Wood said.
Andrew Hewitt has a cat named Peaches. Peaches is 7 years old and Hewitt has owned her since she was a kitten.
‘I am going to miss her funny sitting positions,” Hewitt said.
Hewitt also has a 9-year-old dog named Lilly. Hewitt has owned Lilly for seven years.
Hewitt will miss her excited smile when he comes home from school every day.
Since she was in early elementary school, Janay Cicotte has had a cat named Tilly. Tilly is 11 years old.
Cicotte will miss her fluffy snuggles.
Aurora Ledbetter has a 13-year-old dog named Lexi.
Ledbetter has owned Lexi for 12 years.
“I’m going to miss her cuddles,” Ledbetter said.
Samantha Pemberton has a dog named Faith. Faith is four years old and Pemberton has owned her all four years.
“I’ll miss just hanging out with her and playing with her,” Pemberton said.
Heddie Heintzelman has a 10-year-old dog named Bruno. Heintzelman has owned Bruno for all his life.
Heintzelman will miss his cute face.
Alex Lyons has owned his dog Roscoe for all five years of the dog’s life.
Lyons will miss how hyper he is.
Gracie Fritz has owned her dog Uschi for eight years.
“She is always by your side and is fun to play with,” Fritz said.
